Twenty yards of the wye and repair time
A wye turns the whole cut in one move, reversing its order and the facing of every car. Some cars must stand facing the bumper at their destination.
A repair job takes time: the car must stand at its service track for a set number of moves, and taking it away part way through starts the work over.
20 yards, pars from 5 to 15 moves. Beside its theme, chapter 77 draws on outbounds, tonnage and the shop, with two breathers of plain sorting and extra cars. Difficulty runs as a sawtooth: runs of easy yards, a spike, a breather.
