Repair Division
Bad-order cars take their time
A repair job takes time: the car must stand at its service track for a set number of moves, and taking it away part way through starts the work over.
4 hand-made yards, pars from 6 to 10 moves. Every yard has two challenge variants that open once it is finished at par.
The yards
| # | Yard | Par | The job |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Shop Time | 6 | The Concord car is bad order, and the job takes two moves: its card counts down one for every move it stands on the RIP track, the move that puts it there included. Find something useful to do while the car men work. Albany on 1, Boston on 2, Concord on 3. |
| 2 | One Stall | 10 | Two bad-order cars and one stall on the RIP track. The Albany job takes two moves, the Boston job three, and the one that waits should be the one that leaves you something to do. Albany on 1, Boston on 2, Concord on 3. |
| 3 | Hump and Shop | 9 | Two bad-order cars, two moves each, one stall, and a hump. A bad-order car rides with the engine and is shoved into the shop; once repaired it can go over the hump like any other. Albany on 1, Boston on 2, Concord on 3. |
| 4 | Two in the Shop | 7 | The outbound Albany, Boston, Albany has two bad-order cars in it: the Boston job takes two moves, the Albany job three. The RIP track has two stalls, so both can be in the shop at once. |
